First comes Nokia and now comes the iPhone – last week I wrote to let you know about fring’s brand-new mobile video calls over VoIP feature and I did mention that Nokia was only the beginning of it. Well, I’m glad to let you know that Apple just approved fring’s video call support for iPhone/iPod touch users, as well!

This is yet another world’s 1st, as no video calls have been made publically available for iPhone, to date. Now iPhone and iPod touch users can also live video with their fring and Skype buddies, while on the go!

Video Calls on the iPhone

This video feature is embedded within the fring application that enables free voice calls from the iPhone and iPod Touch to other fring users, Skype and GTalk buddies as well as friends on regular phone lines via Skype-Out and hundreds of popular SIP services.

The new fring version with video calls support is currently available to users with iPhone/ iPod touch OS 3.0 (only incoming video-stream available, due to the location of the camera on iPhone/iPod) and selected Nokia Symbian S60 devices (2-way video streaming is available).
